Pixels 2015

Fast-paced, fun, and ridiculous, the action is on-going from start to finish. There is plenty of action, humor, life-sized arcade game characters, and a subtle yet endearing love story to unfold.

When I got invited to a premiere of the new PIXELS, I had no expectations whatsoever. Generally I like Adam Sandler films, albeit that he usually takes the same kind of approach to most, with hope evolving into happy endings. No reason to think that a film where Earth is invaded that his film wouldn't provide an Earthling happy ending as well. It did, and the film as wroth the watch nonetheless.

Written by Tim Herlihy and Timothy Dowling, and based on a short story by Patrick Jean, and directed by award-winning Chris Columbus (Harry Potter, Home Alone, Goonies, The Help) the film hit the mark.

If you’re of the age to recall them, all the old favorites are presented, including, but not limited to Pac Man, Galaga, Centipede, Lady Lisa, Space Invaders, Asteroids, Donkey Kong, Q-bert and many others. And in 3D!
